Rep. Josh Harder, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 9th district, has been vocal on several matters through his tweets. Harder, who was born in Turlock, California and now resides in Tracy, has a background in economics, having studied at Stanford University and Harvard University. He succeeded Jeff Denham in Congress in 2019.

On April 3, 2025, Harder announced an opportunity for "Band kids" in the Valley to perform in Washington, D.C. next year. The tweet encouraged local bands to apply by April 14, stating: "Band kids—this is your shot. We’re picking 5 Valley bands to play in DC next year. Deadline’s April 14."

Later that day, Rep. Harder addressed the issue of fentanyl in the Valley. His statement on social media was emphatic, highlighting the ongoing concerns around drug trafficking: "Fentanyl is out of control, and our families are paying the price. If you’re moving this poison through our Valley — you better believe there are consequences coming."

On April 4, 2025, Harder posted about recent tariff news, providing a link to further details. He tweeted: "Here’s what you need to know about the recent tariff news."
