CITY OF TRACY: EASTBOUND I-205 OFFRAMP TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED, TO RESUME NOVEMBER 15-30TH

Suspended

City of Tracy issued the following announcement on Nov 12.

A parking lot expansion at the Kaiser Permanente Tracy Medical Offices located at the intersection of Orchard Parkway and Grant Line Road originally planned for completion last month has been rescheduled due to unforeseen conditions.  The work to be completed will necessitate nighttime lane closures on Grant Line Road to connect a new 24-inch storm drain from the new parking lot to the City’s existing 72-inch storm drain.  Construction in the area has been rescheduled to begin at 9:00 pm on Sunday, November 15th and continue through Sunday, November 30th.  All work along Grant Line Road is planned to take place between the hours of 9:00 pm and 4:00 am only, and all traffic controls will be removed from the project site daily by 5:00 am in an effort to minimize traffic impacts to our local commuters.  There will be no work or lane closures on Friday and Saturday nights.

Traffic signals in the area will be placed on red flash and at least one lane of traffic in each direction will be kept open at all times.  Construction signage, lighted changeable message boards, flaggers and cones will be used to help keep traffic moving safely through the work zone.   Lane closures and lane transitions will be in place between the I-205 eastbound off-ramp exit to Corral Hollow Road, depending on each phase of the work.  Efforts have been made to notify businesses and residents in the area at least 72 hours prior to the start of construction.  Please expect delays and intermittent road closures while equipment, crews and materials are moved in and out of the work site.

Everyone is encouraged to plan their trips accordingly and use alternate routes if at all possible to avoid delays.  Please use caution in the area during the construction and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
