To maintain transparency with the community, and in accordance with AB 2761, authorities are providing information regarding an in-custody death that occurred at the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp, CA.
On Saturday, July 26, 2024, inmate Joel Muschott, a 37-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital due to medical issues. Muschott’s health did not improve and on that same day, he was pronounced deceased at 2:33 am.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
