Rep. Josh Harder, who has been serving California's 9th District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of tweets detailing his recent activities and legislative efforts. Born in Turlock, California, Harder has academic credentials from Stanford University and Harvard University.

On February 10, 2025, Rep. Harder tweeted about a "productive meeting with the leading narcotics officers in the country," including Valley HIDTA Director John Martin. He expressed the importance of collaboration to "crack down on cartels" and prevent the flow of fentanyl to ensure family safety. "Productive meeting with the leading narcotics officers in the country, including our own Valley HIDTA Director John Martin. Very helpful to hear how we can partner with them to crack down on cartels, stop the flow of deadly fentanyl, and keep our families safe."

In another tweet posted on February 11, 2025, he commented on Super Bowl weekend's impact on local businesses while humorously noting its less favorable outcome for Patrick Mahomes. "Love to see it - Super Bowl weekend was a win for local businesses (but maybe not Patrick Mahomes)."

On February 11 as well, Rep. Harder discussed his ongoing legislative work against invasive species like nutria by mentioning that his bill targeting these pests had passed in the House of Representatives. He noted that similar challenges exist both locally and in Washington D.C., comparing them metaphorically to swamp rats."Swamp rats are everywhere right now – whether it’s in DC or in our local waterways. This week my bill to fight the local nutria passed the House."
