7.3% of citizens unemployed in San Joaquin County in 2021

San Joaquin County recorded an unemployment rate of 7.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 25,714 people out of the 771,406 living in San Joaquin County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in San Joaquin County has increased compared to the 7.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in San Joaquin County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 327,830 people who had a job during that time, 339 were employed in the Armed Forces and 327,491 belonged to the civilian labor force.
