City of Tracy issued the following announcement on Dec 17.
The City of Tracy has been notified by Caltrans that they will be doing road construction that will impact most of the Tracy off and on ramps beginning on Monday, December 21st. In an effort to ensure public safety and minimize traffic delays, the City is requiring that Caltrans do the work at night between the hours of 8 PM – 4:30 AM.
The planned improvements include, but are not limited to: potholing, backfilling and asphalting. The construction schedule and impacted ramps are as follows:

| Monday, 1/4 - | Tuesday, 1/5 | MacArthur Dr./Westbound I-205 |
Due to these ramps being heavily traveled and the high volume of traffic in the area, motorists should anticipate heavy delays are encouraged to use alternate routes. Please use caution in the area and “Slow for the Cone Zone,” as traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.
