Rep. Josh Harder, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, recently addressed constituents on social media regarding health care costs and nutrition assistance programs.
On November 1, 2025, Harder warned of impending increases in health care expenses, stating “We’re 8 weeks away from a MASSIVE health care price spike.”
The following day, November 2, he marked a cultural celebration with the message “Feliz Día de los Muertos!”
On November 3, Harder commented on recent developments in federal nutrition assistance funding: “Grateful that new funding for SNAP and CalFresh is being unlocked to keep families fed in the Valley. No one in the fruit and nut basket of the world should be going hungry because of political games and government failures. We need to fully fund these programs ASAP.”
Harder has represented California’s 9th District since replacing Jeff Denham in Congress in 2019. He was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder holds degrees from Stanford University (BA, 2008) and Harvard University (2014).
