Rep. Josh Harder, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing California’s 9th district, has been actively reporting on recent accomplishments and events within his district through social media. Harder, a Turlock native born in 1986, has been a congressman since 2019 after replacing Jeff Denham. His educational background includes degrees from both Stanford University and Harvard University.
On May 2, 2025, Harder announced, “Getting things done! Brought home funding for Lodi to turn an old hotel into 40 new housing units.” This development signifies an initiative to increase the housing supply in Lodi, which is part of his district.
Later that day, Harder shared another development citing a significant infrastructure project, “Big win! We broke ground on the biggest public works project Stockton’s ever seen. 24 miles of new levees to keep our families safer from flooding.” The groundbreaking event in Stockton is a major step towards enhancing flood protection for the local community.
On May 3, 2025, Harder congratulated recent graduates of UEI College, highlighting their achievements, “A HUGE congratulations to UEI College graduates! These folks aren’t just starting new jobs — they’re building our future.” Celebrating these graduates underscores Harder’s focus on the importance of education and workforce readiness in his district.
