Rep. Josh Harder, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, marked the one-year anniversary of his current mission in Congress with a series of posts on May 8, 2026. Harder outlined his legislative priorities and ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and energy policy.

In a tweet posted at 19:28 UTC, Harder stated, “One year in, the mission is clear: We’re here to make sure we build America.” In another post made at the same time, he highlighted progress on energy policy by saying, “We’ve also paved the way for energy permitting certainty which would build out the American energy grid so America can finally be an energy leader.”

Later that day at 21:04 UTC, Harder commented on regulatory reform with a lighter tone: “Always looking to cut the red tape either in the government or cake.”

Josh Harder has represented California’s 9th District since defeating Jeff Denham in 2019. Born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently residing in Tracy, Harder holds degrees from Stanford University (2008) and Harvard University (2014).
