Rep. Josh Harder, who represents California’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to comment on a range of issues including taxation, public records, and environmental concerns.

On August 12, 2025, Harder questioned a possible new tax policy by posting: “A horchata tax?!”

The following day, on August 13, 2025, he addressed transparency regarding high-profile legal documents with the statement: “The Epstein files should have been made public a long time ago. Release them.”

On August 14, 2025, Harder expressed concern over environmental hazards in his district by stating: “Sinking ships are poisoning the Delta.”

Harder has represented California’s 9th District since 2019 after succeeding Jeff Denham. He was born in Turlock in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University.
