Rep. Josh Harder, who has represented California’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, marked the one-year anniversary of the Build America Caucus with a series of posts on May 8, 2026.
In his first post at 17:42 UTC, Harder wrote, “Happy one year anniversary to the Build America Caucus. We have accomplished so much in just one year thanks to our amazing members!”
Later that day at 19:28 UTC, he reflected on the origins of the caucus, stating, “One year ago, we launched the Build America Caucus with a simple idea: America should build things again.” In a follow-up message posted at nearly the same time, Harder elaborated on the group’s priorities: “The Build America Caucus has pushed for a different approach: Cut red tape. Build faster. Lower costs. Protect communities. Make the government capable of delivering again.”
Josh Harder was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. He succeeded Jeff Denham as representative of California’s 9th district and is an alumnus of Stanford University and Harvard University.
