Rep. Josh Harder, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, has recently highlighted local achievements and community issues through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.
On July 13, 2025, Harder recognized the volunteer efforts of three students from Excelsior Middle School by posting: “Congrats to Excelsior Middle School’s Kennedy Renk, Enoch Teng, and Danica Halverson for hitting 100 hours of community service!”
Two days later, on July 15, he encouraged public participation in an initiative to honor educators: “THANK A TEACHER: We’re excited to launch the 2025 Educator Impact Awards. Do you know an exceptional teacher? Someone going above and beyond to help our kids? Take 2 mins to nominate them for this incredible award by July 25th!”
Later that same day, Harder addressed concerns about housing affordability in Stockton with the statement: “You shouldn’t have to make $200K a year to afford a home in Stockton. This is absurd!”
Harder was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. He holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University. He succeeded Jeff Denham as representative for California’s 9th district in Congress.
