Rep. Josh Harder, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, recently used his social media platform to highlight issues ranging from housing costs to anti-corruption efforts and local park improvements.
On September 17, 2025, Harder addressed the ongoing housing affordability crisis in California, posting: “Another new study telling us what we already know. Rent costs are OUT OF CONTROL in California. It can’t keep on going like this!”
The following day, September 18, he turned attention to government transparency and ethics reform by announcing legislative action: “3 ways to fight corruption. Our new landmark bill.”
Later that same day, Harder shared news of a significant investment in local infrastructure for South Stockton: “Van Buskirk Park is getting a full makeover! New basketball courts, a splash pad for kids, and upgraded walkways. Glad we’re bringing home $7 million so South Stockton gets the park it deserves!”
Harder’s focus on these topics reflects his ongoing engagement with both national and local concerns within his district. He has served as the representative for California’s 9th District since defeating Jeff Denham in 2019 and is known for addressing constituent issues such as affordable housing and community development. Born in Turlock in 1986 and currently residing in Tracy, Harder holds degrees from Stanford University (2008) and Harvard University (2014).
