Rep. Josh Harder, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, has recently used his social media platform to highlight local environmental issues, criticize federal policy decisions on education programming, and promote community recognition initiatives.

On July 20, 2025, Harder posted about efforts to address environmental hazards in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta: “The Delta is FULL of toxic, ticking time bombs, and we have to get rid of them. Proud to be working with @USCGNorCal to remove abandoned vessels and protect our waterways.”

The following day, July 21, he criticized federal actions affecting educational resources for children: “Instead of lowering costs, Washington is going after Big Bird and free education programs. In what world does it make sense to take away high-quality programming from our kids??”

Josh Harder was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 2008 and later completed graduate studies at Harvard University in 2014.
