Rep. Josh Harder, who represents California’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on March 13, 2026, regarding bipartisan efforts to advance a housing deal through the Build America Caucus.

In a post dated March 13, 2026, Harder stated: “Since then, we’ve grown to more than 40 members and have been working around the clock and across the aisle to get a housing deal across the finish line. And despite these concerns, I’m optimistic that a final deal is within reach.”

He further emphasized the purpose of the caucus in another tweet from the same day: “This is exactly the kind of challenge that the bipartisan Build America Caucus was made to solve. Last May, we launched this bipartisan coalition with the singular goal of unlocking America’s full potential by cutting red tape and passing pro-growth policies.”

Harder called for collaboration between legislative chambers in his third post: “What we need now is for both chambers to come together to further enhance this bill and pass a deal that comprehensively makes it easier to build in America again. Our families are counting on us to get this right.”

The Build America Caucus was established as a bipartisan group focused on reducing regulatory barriers and promoting economic growth through legislative action.

Josh Harder has served as U.S. Representative for California’s 9th District since 2019 after succeeding Jeff Denham. He was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder holds degrees from Stanford University (BA, 2008) and Harvard University (2014).
