Rep. Josh Harder, who represents California’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of political topics through several posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

On December 6, 2025, Harder questioned recent presidential pardon decisions by stating: “Trump is pardoning WHO?!?”.

Two days later, on December 7, 2025, Harder discussed congressional efforts regarding transparency and ethics reforms. He wrote: “Remember hearing about a discharge petition last month for Epstein? We used it to force the release of the files. Now there’s one to ban stock trading for members of Congress. About time!”

On December 8, 2025, Harder commented on the role of emerging technologies in energy development: “Emerging technologies like AI are making it even clearer that geothermal is an important tool in our energy future. But it’s not enough to just find them – we need to be able to build new plants and get them connected quickly.”

Harder has represented California’s 9th District since replacing Jeff Denham in 2019. He was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder’s educational background includes a BA from Stanford University earned in 2008 and a graduate degree from Harvard University obtained in 2014.
