Rep. Josh Harder, who represents California’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to address a range of issues from corporate accountability to community recognition and food security.
On November 3, 2025, Harder criticized Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), stating, “PG&E’s corruption in Sacramento is out of control. I’m working on a bill to end the secret lobbying and actually hold PG&E accountable.”
Later that day, he acknowledged local educational leadership by congratulating a school administrator: “Congrats to Michelle Rodriguez from Stockton USD for being named Superintendent of the Year! Thank you for all the work you do for our kids!”
On November 4, 2025, Harder addressed concerns over food assistance programs, writing, “SNAP benefits are not a political football politicians can play around with. This is about whether parents can feed their kids! 100,000 ppl in my community need to know if they are going to have food this week. This isn’t a game, this is real life for our neighbors!”
Harder has served as the congressional representative for California’s 9th District since 2019 after replacing Jeff Denham. He was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University.
