U.S. Congressman Josh Harder, who represents California’s 9th district, shared updates this week on local advocacy efforts and legislative progress through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On September 12, 2025, Harder wrote about his engagement with education advocates: “Met with our local early education advocates this week to talk about protecting our kids’ futures. As a dad of two young daughters, there’s nothing more important! https://t.co/gtyyZRTovA”. Later that day, he highlighted new developments in state housing policy: “Big news! California is one step closer to building more housing and lowering your rent. SB 79 cuts red tape, creates jobs, and gives families a shot at affording a home.”
The following day, on September 13, Harder reflected on the strength of his community amid recent challenges: “In the wake of all the sadness in the news lately, I am grateful to be part of such a caring community. https://t.co/WtmzA1kDUT”.
Harder has represented California’s 9th district since 2019 after succeeding Jeff Denham in Congress. He was born in Turlock in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Harder’s academic background includes degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University.
