Rep. Josh Harder, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th district since 2019, has recently used his social media platform to highlight ongoing efforts in Congress to address housing affordability and promote bipartisan reform.
On December 4, 2025, Harder posted: “We gotta get housing costs DOWN. Here’s what I said on @pie4everybody https://t.co/X973QPa6BE”. The day before, he referenced an interview with the same outlet: “(2/3) I sat down with @pie4everybody to talk about the bipartisan Build America Caucus and how we’re pushing to pass this bill that will build more than a million new homes.

Harder’s advocacy is part of his broader legislative agenda as a member of Congress. He was born in Turlock, California in 1986 and currently resides in Tracy. Before entering Congress, he graduated from Stanford University in 2008 and Harvard University in 2014. Harder succeeded Jeff Denham as representative for California’s 9th district.
The Build America Caucus, mentioned by Harder in his posts, is focused on advancing legislation aimed at increasing the national housing supply by more than one million units. This effort comes amid growing concern over rising housing costs across the country.
