On Sunday, March 16, former John C. Kimball High School standout Israel Velazquez’s current college team, the Wheeling Cardinals, won 15-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.

The game took place at Calvin L. Bailey Field. This was their first matchup against the Yellow Jackets this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 16 at 3:30 p.m. at Calvin L. Bailey Field against West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
