An in-custody death has been reported at the San Joaquin County Hospital in French Camp, California. The incident involves a 78-year-old male inmate who was receiving medical care for pre-existing and declining health conditions.

The inmate was initially transported to the hospital on February 27, 2025, where he remained under medical supervision. Despite ongoing treatment efforts, his condition worsened over time. The inmate was pronounced dead on March 10, 2025.
